My guest this week is Dr. Jonathon Sullivan. Dr. Sullivan is the owner and head coach of Greysteel Strength and Conditioning, where he specializes in barbell-based strength training for those in their 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s. He is a former US Marine, practiced emergency medicine at a level I trauma center for over twenty years, served as an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at Wayne State University, and conducted neuroscience research as well. He is the co-author of “The Barbell Prescription: Strength Training for Life After Forty,” and hosts the Greysteel Channel on YouTube. Join us this week as Dr. Sullivan describes why strength training is critical for healthy aging and why exercise is the most powerful medicine in the world, as well as how we can stay healthy during the COVID-19 pandemic.
