Dump Your Head Trash with Renie Cavallari

Why is it that the voice in our head is so often negative? For many of us our predominant inner voice is downright nasty. We often grab ahold of a negative thought and start building on it, and this often snowballs until we’re completely consumed with negative energy. And these negative thoughts can be directed towards others – including loved ones – or it can be directed towards ourselves.

My guest today has a name for this negative self-talk – she calls it head trash. Head trash loves blame and shame. It criticizes everything and hypes up every possible downside, and the little negative voice in your head takes over – making it harder to connect with other people – or yourself for that matter.

Head trash dulls your shine and limits your full potential. But what if there was a way to silence this critic? What if there was a way to empty your head trash?

My guest today is Renie Cavallari. Renie is an author, speaker, researcher, as well the founder, CEO of Aspire, a global transformational training and culture development company and is also the founder of RCI Institute, an active thinking, executive coaching, and People Technology lab. In addition, Renie is a member of the prestigious National Speakers Association and Entrepreneurs Organization and TrainingIndustry.com named Renie as one of the Top 20 Most Influential Training Professionals. Renie and Aspire won a Stevie Award in the “Most Innovative Company” category 14 years in a row, and in 2020 Renie was awarded a prestigious Lifetime Achievement award.

Join us this week as Renie shares her “own it, shift it, dump it” strategy for dealing with head trash to unlock our full potential.
