Leveraging Technology for Your Healthiest Future Self with Dr. Drew Taylor

Do you remember the cartoon the Jetsons? How everything seemed so futuristic? And while we’re still aways from flying cars and having Rosie the robot clean our houses and wait on our beckon call, the future is here and it’s incredible. The Jetsons released their first episode 60 years ago back in 1962. Back before the internet. Before cell phones. Before 8 tracks, CDs, VHS tapes or DVDs. Before fax machines. And way before we had the ability to bank your stem cells and cryogenically freeze them for future use.

My guest today is Dr. Drew Taylor. Drew is the co-founder and CEO of Acorn Biolabs, which is a company specializing in helping people preserve their own cells for help them prepare for future needs. Drew was a standout colligate athlete and professional baseball player, but ultimately got his PhD in biomedical engineering and now leads the charge to bringing accessible, non-invasive and affordable live cell collection and preservation to everyone.

Join us this week as Drew shares how he went from a baseball player to CEO of a biomedical startup, and why people like you and me (and our children and grandchildren) should consider banking our cells today for a healthier tomorrow. I started our interview by asking Drew how he got interested in cell banking.
